Originating in Taiwan in 1998, cat cafes have become very popular across the globe, and for good reason! Who wouldn't love to hang out with kitties while they enjoy delicious treats? Plus to top it all off, cat cafes are a great way for shelter cats to find their forever homes.

The Calico Café is described as a coffee bar and cat lounge. No, the cats are not allowed in the food and beverage area (the inspector would not be very happy about that!) You are allowed to bring your beverages and treats when you visit the cat lounge, just watch out for our four-legged foodies who may try to sample some.

Our cat room is not only to help people destress and find a kitty to love, it is a wonderful environment for kitties to thrive. They're in a smaller group so they're less likely to get sick and the cat room is much more similar to a home than the shelter (even our fabulous shelter with big pens!)
